Jean Monnet Chair Nils Ringe’s newest book The European Union and Beyond: Multi-Level Governance, Institutions, and Policy-Making was recently awarded the Larry Neal Prize for Excellence in EU Scholarship from the European Union Center at the University of Illinois. The Larry Neal Prize is named after the first Director of the European Union Center at the University of Illinois – one of the original ten centers in the US funded by the European Commission.
The book, The European Union and Beyond: Multi-Level Governance, Institutions, and Policy-Making, was produced with co-funding from the Erasmus + Programme and in honor of the University of Pittsburgh’s European Studies Center founder and UW-Madison alumna, Alberta Sbragia. Chapters were written by her former students and colleagues. The book was edited by professors Nils Ringe and Jae Jae Spoon.
