Professor Miernowski Invites Public to Lectures and Discussion on French Laïcité

In March 2021, the Center for European Studies and the Department of French and Italian are co-sponsoring two lectures on “la laïcité” to which the public are invited. Watch Jan Miernowski, UW-Madison Douglas Kelly Professor of French, describe the significance of laïcité in France, and learn more about the content of the upcoming lectures in his video below.

These lectures are a part of the Center for European Studies Spring 2021 Virtual Lecture Series, which is funded by a U.S. Department of Education Title VI National Resource Center grant .
