“Mission Ulja Funk” World Cinema Day 2022

World Cinema Day, a collaboration between UW-Madison’s IRIS and the Wisconsin Film Festival that began in 2004, brings school children and teachers to Madison for the screening of a high-quality, international film with an introduction and post-film discussion led by a member of the UW faculty or staff.
This event is free to students attending with their teachers and will open with a presentation by UW-Madison GNS+ Graduate Student, Matthew Greene.
The film for 2022 is Mission Ulja Funk (2022)
Plot Summary: 12-year old amateur astronomer Ulja, armed with a stolen hearse and a classmate as driver, journeys across Eastern Europe with an unexpected stowaway to see her asteroid hit Earth.
