Food Cultures of Italy (FIG) Introduces Students to Italian Culture

The Fall 2018 semester saw a cohort of 9 students enrolled in the Food Cultures of Italy (LitTrans 410) course and in an introductory Italian language course. This group was a part of a First-Year Interest Group (FIG) led by Associate Professor Grazia Menechella who reported that all 9 students received an A in both courses and that she had “never seen a group so enthusiastic about Italian culture.” The Italian language course was led by Valentina Morello, an Italian graduate student.

Below is a slideshow featuring activities that participants in the FIG had access to including photos from the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World that was sponsored and funded in part by European Studies.
