“World Appreciation Day 2.0: Using International Skills in Careers” is a half-day mini-conference for high school students that will be held on the UW-Madison campus.
This event will be held on Thursday, November 15, at Union South, from 8:15-12:15, and will feature engaging presentations by Steve Wallace, Founder and President of Milwaukee’s Omanhene Cocoa Bean Company and Jacob Kushner, a UW-Madison alum who works as a freelance international journalist.
There will also be a foreign languages “speed-dating” session, and an opportunity to speak with representatives of various globally-focused UW-Madison offices, among other presentations. Each school may bring up to 35 students. There is no charge for schools to participate and some financial assistance for transportation costs (for schools from outside of Dane County) may be available.
