Thomas Leopold is Professor of Methods of Empirical Social Research at the Institute of Sociology and Social Psychology at the University of Cologne. His research interests include social demography, family relations, and life course. He is also principal investigator of the ERC Starting Grant project KINMATRIX: Uncovering the Kinship Matrix: A New Study of Solidarity and Transmission in European Families.
