Thomas Leopold, A New Look at the Separation Surge in Europe: Contrasting Adult and Child Perspectives

Center for Demography and Ecology’s weekly Demography Seminar (DemSem) offers presentations of substantive work at the forefront of population sciences. Organized by Jenna Nobles and Michal Engelman, the seminar features lectures by top scholars in the field from across the university campus and beyond.

Thomas Leopold is Professor of Methods of Empirical Social Research at the Institute of Sociology and Social Psychology at the University of Cologne. His research interests include social demography, family relations, and life course. He is also principal investigator of the ERC Starting Grant project KINMATRIX: Uncovering the Kinship Matrix: A New Study of Solidarity and Transmission in European Families.
