Editors of “The Bloomsbury Handbook of Global Social Studies in Education” will be on the UW–Madison campus for a panel discussion on Thursday, March 27.

The discussion will explore the diverse scientific perspectives of the participants, while emphasizing the importance of combining theories, methods, and research from different cultural, social, and digital contexts. This approach will highlight how various modern educational experiences shape these perspectives.

The panelists are:

  • Thomas Popkewitz of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at UW–Madison
  • Romuald Normand of the University of Strasbourg in France
  • Dalila Andrade Oliveira, Director of Institutional, International, and Innovation Cooperation with the National Council for Research and Technological Development (CNPq, Brazil), and the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil
  • Dan Zhang, of East China Normal University
