Meike Hoffmann studied art history, classical archaeology, folklore, and library science at the University of Kiel and at the Free University of Berlin. In 2005, she received a PhD for her dissertation on the Die Brücke art movement. Currently, she works at the Degenerate Art Research Center at the Free University of Berlin, and she has been working on a new course student for provenance research.
