This event has passed.

1418 Van Hise (1220 Linden Dr)
@ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

This project is made possible through the contributions of many UW-Madison units. Contributors to date are African Cultural Studies; African Studies Program; Center for East Asian Studies; Center for Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia; Center for South Asia; Center for Southeast Asian Studies; College of Letters & Science; Comparative Literatures and Folklore Studies; German, Nordic, and Slavic; and Spanish and Portuguese.

Join the Language Institute for an informal brownbag conversation to brainstorm ideas for research questions that might be addressed through a Fall 2019 survey of UW-Madison undergraduate students on students’ reasons for (not) studying a language in college.

Bring your lunch and dessert will be provided.

The survey will be administered in Fall 2019 by the UW Survey Center.

All interested members of the UW-Madison language teaching and learning community are invited to participate in this conversation to brainstorm ideas for the survey. Can’t make the brownbag? Share your ideas by email by April 15: diannamurphy@wisc.edu.
