Michael Oskin will share his experience working all around the world, including his current work at the US Embassy in Kenya.
Michael Oskin is the external and security affairs unit chief in the political section of the US Embassy in Kenya. He previously served as the Deputy Director of the Office of Global Sanctions and Threat Finance, on the Turkey desk, and as a Watch Officer in the Operations Center. His overseas assignments include Beijing and Mumbai. He also completed the Foreign Service Economic Studies program. Prior to joining the Department, Michael spent nearly a decade working in refugee rights in Egypt. Earlier, he was a therapeutic wilderness guide and middle school special education teacher. Michael completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin and graduate degrees at CUNY Lehman and the American University in Cairo.
