Global Day is a campus-wide annual event that showcases the breadth and depth of UW-Madison’s international expertise and communicates our collective impact on addressing global challenges. This year’s theme is Wisconsin & the World and will highlight what UW-Madison can do to bring Wisconsin to the world and the world to Wisconsin.
Global Day 2024: Wisconsin & the World features:
- Dynamic talk and real-world example of Wisconsin & the World from UW alumnus, Mr. William Hsu (’00)
- Musical arrangements and a talk from Dr. Jonathan Øverby from Wisconsin Public Radio
- Poster contest for people to highlight their international experience and/or international research
- Photo contest to showcase visual examples of Wisconsin & the World
- Panels on various topics relating to international engagement at UW-Madison and beyond
- The chance to meet with campus entities and workshop your own international engagement opportunities
- Networking opportunities with a regional focus, including a roundtable led by European Studies Outreach Specialist, Eleanor Conrad.
- Food, awards ceremony, and more!
This is a free event open to all UW-Madison faculty, staff, post-docs, and students.
