Professor Giovanna Frosini is a professor of History of the Italian Language at the Università per Stranieri di Siena. Her main research topics include history and culture of the Italian language, lexicography, the language of art, and the history of the language of cooking and food from the Middle Ages to the contemporary age.
Her lecture will focus on central moments and aspects of Italian language and food experience; particular attention will be given to the analysis of turning points from Middle Ages to modern times, followed by a reflection on current language trends in relation to food.
