Benjamin Schuetze is head of the Emmy Noether Research Group at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute (ABI) in Freiburg, Germany. His research examines transregional authoritarian practices and the politics of intervention via a focus on the political economy of renewable energies in the Middle East and North Africa, and US and European “democracy promotion”
initiatives in Jordan.
