At the biennial European Union Studies Association conference in Philadelphia, our own Professor Mark Copelovitch was elected to serve as Chair of the EUSA Executive Committee from 2025-2027. EUSA was founded in 1988 and is the premier scholarly and professional association focusing on the European Union, the ongoing integration process, and transatlantic relations. EUSA has over 600 members throughout North America, all EU member states, and on all continents, representing the social sciences, the humanities, business and law practitioners, news media, and governments on both sides of the Atlantic.
As Professor of Political Science and Public Affairs, Jean Monnet Chair for 2022-2025, and European Studies Director for four of the last five years, Professor Copelovitch will lead an executive planning team of renowned European Union scholars from around the globe, including Maurizio Carbone, Alison Johnston, Petia Kostadinova, Craig Parsons, Federiga Bindi, and Lenka Bustikova, and will replace Dan Kelemen and Sophie Meunier, Co-Chairs from 2023-2025.
The 2025 EUSA Conference in Philadelphia was a great success! Professor Copelovitch will continue his renowned scholarship on comparative U.S./European political economy and the EU’s role in global affairs, along with planning the 2027 conference. Details on dates and locations to follow soon.
